Before house music, there was Cosmic. While Manhattan dancers were under the spell of Larry Levan in the early '80s, their Italian counterparts were having their minds blown by Daniele Baldelli — blending disco, krautrock, afrobeat, new wave, and early electronics from a booth on Lake Garda, slowing records down and speeding them up to create entirely new rhythmic environments. The mixtapes are still poured over by fans and trainspotters to this day. Wear the sound.
